iCrossing

Whilst working in advertising at iCrossing I noticed there was a need for a better working environment. I held meetings with the whole office to establish what would make them feel better at work; from creating breakout spaces to the individual’s desks.

The reception area was empty so I turned this into a welcome and break out area for guests and staff, with two large sofas, a wisteria tree, bamboo plants and bean bags. I also created a work breakout area for writing, consisting of a table with four chairs and some relaxed lighting.office design, london, icrossing, design, interior design, lighting, frames, plants, nature

There were some rather nauseating colours on the walls so I went for neutral tones, whilst using tree patterned wallpaper on the pillars so that they looked a bit like tree trunks. The meeting room walls were painted in soft, calming tones with beech tree wall murals to add depth and interest.

Each member of staff had their own desk light, adding character to their individual spaces and creating different levels of light throughout the space.
Overall I wanted to create a calm working atmosphere with design details and a sense of nature, to help encourage staff to feel more valued at work.
